What To Expect
What is the main worship service like?
The main worship service at 11 a.m. Sunday mornings is Christ-centered and gloriously engaging for young and old alike. The service flows very smoothly and contains all the normal elements of a corporate worship service that one might expect. We worship God through song, prayer, giving and through the preaching of His Word. We would consider ourselves musically to have a blended service. Our worship time together is upbeat and uplifting whether we are singing contemporary worship songs or the great hymns of the faith. Overall, you will find our service to be a joyful celebration of Christ, as we allow the Holy Spirit of God to direct us as we worship Him.
What do you offer for children on Sundays?
At 9:45 a.m. there are Sunday School classes for children of all ages. Also, there is “children’s church” offered for children during the main worship service. When you visit with us, please take note of the times and locations of children’s church and when you can pick your children up following the service.
Do you have Sunday School?
Yes, we have a very active Sunday School with many great classes where you can plug in. From nursery all the way to senior adults, we have classes in place that are focused on teaching the Bible in many different ways. When you visit with us, please see the greeters in the front lobby to receive a brochure describing all of our current Sunday School classes!
What should I wear?
All are welcome to Salem Baptist Church no matter who you are or how you dress! On any given Sunday you will find many people are dressed in many different ways. There are those who wear suits and there are those that do not. No matter how you are dressed, you are always welcome in the house of God. However, we should always strive to give God our best!
