Pastor Paul Gale
Paul grew up in a Christian home and came to know the Lord personally as Savior in 1961. After he completed his Bible training at the Word of Life Bible Institute, he married Sonya Reimer in 1975. Sonya’s parents, Harold & Deborah Reimer are missionaries with Word of Life Fellowhip Inc. in Brazil. Sonya grew up on the mission field and came to know the Lord as personal Savior in 1969. After they were married, Paul and Sonya spent next 10 years in Shelby, Michigan working in the retail area, and during this time were very active in the ministry of their local Baptist church. In 1983 they were accepted by Word of Life to serve as missionaries to Brazil. Paul ministered as the staff director at the Word of Life camp in Sao Paulo, Brazil from 1987 – 1992. In 1992 he became the camp director, a position he held till 2000. During the following two years, he was the national development director for Word of Life in Brazil. In 2002, the Lord led Paul and Sonya to establish a new ministry called Christian Bridge Ministries which has as its goal to serve as a bridge through which Bible believing churches can link people and resources in the US and in Brazil in order to share the Gospel and edify the body of Christ. Paul is an ordained Baptist minister and has also served as couples pastor in their local Baptist church in Brazil since 2003.
Paul and Sonya have four daughters, two of whom are married. All of their children and grandchildren presently live in Brasil and are serving the Lord there.
