Senior Pastor Bobby Lewis
Since the summer of 2003, my family and I have had the wonderful privilege of serving alongside of the Salem Baptist Church family. What an incredible joy it has been seeing God move in so many mighty ways! We have all grown tremendously both spiritually and numerically, and for this we say, “To God be the glory, great things HE has done!”
In 1994 I met the love of my life, Cindy, in the College of William & Mary choir in Williamsburg, VA. We have been blessed with four precious children—Heather, Holly, Hannah Grace, and little Bobby (also affectionately known as BoBo). Prior to coming to Salem, I received my undergraduate degree in Music Education. I also had the joy of serving as an Associate Pastor and Minister of Music and Education in Greensboro, NC for four years. While there, the Lord enabled me to complete a Master of Divinity degree with Biblical Languages in 2002 from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. In May of 2009 I graduated from Southeastern with a Ph.D. in Applied Theology (with a concentration in Evangelism). To God be the glory!
Our primary mission at Salem is “Proclaiming the Good News of Jesus, and Promoting the Growth of His People!” If you desire to serve God and study His holy, inerrant Word with a joyful, Christ-centered church family, then I personally invite you to come and see the great things our Lord is doing in and through Salem Baptist Church.
For the Glory of God and the Good of His People,
Pastor Bobby
“Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.”
-Hebrews 13:20–21
